Custom Fields allow you to extend the functionality of the forms in DocuKlaud, enabling administrators to define additional fields for documents. These fields can be text, numeric, choice (selection), date, and others.




Step by Step

  1. Go to the side menu and click Administration.

  2. Select the Custom fields module.

  4. To create a new attribute, click the + New button.

  5. In the pop-up window, select the tab corresponding to the entity you want to customize:
    • Documents: Fields that will appear when creating or editing files.
    • Accounts: Fields for managing companies or clients.
    • Contacts: Specific fields for the address book.

  6. Complete the field configuration:
    • Internal Name: Technical name.
    • Label: The name the end user will see (e.g., Expiration Date).
    • Data type: Select whether it will be Text, Number, Date, List, etc.

  7. Define the field properties:
    • Required: The user will not be able to save the record if this field is empty.
    • Sealed: The value cannot be modified once it has been saved for the first time.
    • Global: The field will appear in all document types or categories of the selected entity.

  9. Click Save.
